The year 2025 has been a journey of hope, healing, and quiet miracles. It has been a year where small victories felt like celebrations, where heavy days taught us patience, and where every child who walked through our doors reminded us of the enormous responsibility we carry. As we come to the end of this year, the New Beginnings Youth Foundation looks back with hearts filled with gratitude. We have seen pain evolve into strength, fear grow into confidence, and despair slowly become hope. Every child touched our hearts. Every transformation strengthened our mission. Every story reminded us why this work matters so deeply.
Throughout the year, the NBYF Treatment Centre in Alabata continued to stand as a home for restoration. It became a place where young people learned to breathe again. A place where broken confidence slowly found its voice. A place where children who once lived in silence discovered that they deserved to be loved, guided, and understood. Our mission to empower and rehabilitate vulnerable youths remained at the centre of everything we did. Every class, every therapy session, every skill training, every conversation was rooted in one simple belief, that every child deserves a chance to try again.
Looking back, gratitude surrounds us. Our staff showed resilience and compassion that cannot be measured. They carried the emotional weight of this work with patience and humility. Our volunteers brought warmth and joy into spaces where silence once lived. Our donors and partners strengthened our hands each time we felt the burden of rising costs and growing needs. Our community opened its doors and trusted us with its children. The collective effort of every person who walked beside us gave this work meaning. It reminded us that the journey of a child is never theirs alone. It belongs to every heart willing to care.
THE CHALLENGES WE FACED
The year was shaped by several challenges that tested our resolve. There were moments when the needs of our children grew faster than our resources. Days when our facility felt full, yet we could not bring ourselves to turn away a child who needed help. There were periods when funds were uncertain, when we wondered how to meet the next demand, when we prayed for strength and support. There were emotional moments when our boys carried heavy stories, and guiding them required more time, more energy, and more patience than our team sometimes believed they had. Yet in all these challenges, we discovered who we were becoming. We learned to draw strength from teamwork. We learned that consistency and compassion are powerful tools. We learned that our purpose grows stronger through the storms we navigate.
Inside these challenges, transformation shone like light. Throughout the year, we watched young boys evolve in ways that moved every member of our team. Many of them arrived withdrawn, unsure of themselves, and burdened with low self esteem. They struggled academically and socially. Their voices were soft, and their confidence was fragile. Over time, as they received structure, encouragement, and love, we saw remarkable change. They became more expressive. They grew more attentive in class. Their academic performance improved steadily. Their behaviour shifted from uncertainty to confidence. They learned responsibility, and they embraced discipline with pride. We saw boys who once avoided conversation now speak clearly and courageously. We saw improved hygiene, better organisation, and renewed confidence. These transformations gave us hope. They reminded us that healing requires time, patience, and a community that refuses to give up on a child.
The year also marked significant growth in our programs. Our personal development sessions helped the boys discover their identity. Our mentorship programs gave them direction and stability. Our vocational classes taught them practical skills that will remain valuable for life. Our community engagement initiatives taught them empathy and the joy of giving back. Every activity, every lesson, and every shared moment shaped their journey in ways that will stay with them for years to come.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO 2026

As we look towards the coming year, our dreams continue to expand. We want to increase our capacity so that more children can find a safe place to start again. We want to strengthen our academic support system. We want to provide more learning materials, more vocational tools, more mental health resources, and more opportunities for growth. We want to invest in deeper community engagement, greater sustainability, and long term stability. Most importantly, we want to continue building a foundation strong enough to support every child who walks through our doors.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT !
To our donors, we say thank you with sincerity that words can barely express. To our volunteers, your time became a language of love.
To our community, your belief in our mission strengthened our resolve.
To our partners, your contributions shaped everything we achieved.
To our staff, your dedication is the heartbeat of this work.
